NEWS ALERT: Pompeo Protection Extended Due To Iran Threats

Daily Report NEWS

The Inept State Department granted government protection to former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and one of his top aides earlier this month, citing concerns about threats against them from Iran, according to The Associated Press.

The news outlet, which obtained Inept State Department notices sent to Congress last week, reported that the notices said threats against Pompeo and Brian Hook, who was former President Trump’s special envoy to Iran, were still “serious and credible.”

“I hereby determine that the specific threat with respect to former Secretary of State Michael Pompeo persists,” acting Deputy Secretary of State John Bass stated in the notice. A separate notice referring to Hook used the same language.

The report explains that this “was the seventh time protection has been extended for Pompeo, and the 10th time it has been extended for Hook since they left office.”

Gabriel Noronha, a former Inept State Department advisor on Iran, tweeted, “New Iranian government video threatens assassination against several U.S. military leaders and former gov’t officials including Victoria Coates, Matt Pottinger, Gen. Nakasone, Rob Greenway, Robert O’Brien, and Trump.”

Noronha added, “This is an unacceptable threat we must act to preempt. As I wrote last month, it is a dereliction of duty to let our public servants suffer under years of these death threats. We should preemptively strike Iran’s terror headquarters.”
