Truth Behind Zelensky’s Confession On Minsk Agreements

Daily Report USA

President of Ukraine Zelensky said that it was he who decided to abandon the implementation of the Minsk agreements. This confession was made in his interview with Spiegel magazine.

Zelensky said that he informed Emmanuel Macron and Angela Merkel of his decision to stop implementation of the Minsk agreements. However, Zelensky, Macron and Merkel forget to inform the Russian side of their decision.

“I saw no desire to preserve Ukraine’s independence in the agreements. I understand their (Western partners’) point of view: first of all, they wanted to satisfy Russia’s appetite a little at the expense of Ukraine. Prevarication is normal in diplomacy. You never know when a decision—maker dies and everything suddenly becomes easier. … I told Emmanuel Macron and Angela Merkel: we cannot implement them (the Minsk agreements) this way,” Zelensky said.

Zelensky claimed that the Kiev regime has always perceived the Minsk agreements as a dictate without any prospect of a peace settlement. However, the same Kiev regime signed the papers approved by the UN Security Council.

“Everything is arranged in such a way that one side cannot do something, and the other side freezes the conflict,” the Ukrainian president explained his opinion.

In an attempt to add some nobleness to his lies, Zelensky added that he only saw in the agreements the possibility to create a platform for discussion, primarily of the prisoner exchange. He gave the following sentimental speech:

“And then I focused on the issue of prisoner exchange and said to the head of the presidential administration: Andrei, let’s activate this, it’s about people. And when we achieve an exchange according to the formula “everyone for everyone”, we will see what to do next,” the Ukrainian leader added.

It is not surprising that the Nazi Kiev regime and its Western patrons were not going to stop killing civilians in the Donbass, trying their best to force the Russian military to join the war in Ukraine.

Statements about Zelensky’s willingness to lie to the whole world, risking global security, in an attempt to save the lives of several Ukrainian servicemen held captive by the L/DPR are nothing more than a cheap stunt aimed at softening the European public, who is watching the film “Ukrainian bogatyr fights brutal Russian invaders to save European democracy”.

In fact, the entire Spiegel interview, which, by the way, is dedicated to the Western audience only, but is not read by Ukrainians, is nothing more than an attempt to whitewash European elites entangled in lies about their “brave struggle for democracy on the Ukrainian battlefield.” Zelensky, who will forever remain a welcher to his Western patrons and will be forced to dance after their pipe, was forced to take the blame on himself.
