The Sovereignty Coalition is rooted in a shared, profound commitment to the U.S. Constitution and the God-given freedoms it guarantees. Its participants are determined to protect these foundations of our Republic by defending our national sovereignty against all enemies, foreign and domestic.
The Coalition’s immediate priority is to prevent efforts to create unaccountable global governance arrangements and authorities wholly at odds with our sovereign, constitutional form of representative, limited government.
The United States is currently negotiating two proposed “Agreements” that if adopted, would give the World Health Organization (WHO), the authority to determine public health emergencies – or even potential emergencies – in America, without the consent of the U.S. Government. This must NOT be allowed to occur.
The proposed agreements would give the WHO and its Director–General the authority to declare public health emergencies – or even potential emergencies–within the United States, without U.S. consent.
These proposed agreements would further empower the Director General to decide how we must respond, including forced vaccination, mask mandates, and lockdowns. These measures would be enforced through surveillance via vaccine passports or other digital health IDs and the censorship of dissenting views.
Our national sovereignty to determine such matters must NOT be surrendered and our individual sovereignty to make personal health decisions with our doctor must NOT be compromised.
Such a surrender of national sovereignty over public health would be bad enough. In practice, however, it will translate into a loss of personal sovereignty as well, notably as a result of WHO directives that may interfere with individual patients’ treatment by their physician.
The WHO’s “One Health” approach would directly interfere with the patient-physician relationship by dictating the way physicians diagnose and treat individuals in their care.
Through a system of “Global Health Certificates,” the World Health Organization seeks to institute a system of digital documentation, including certificates for tests, vaccinations, other prescribed preventative measures, recovery and even travel.
As a means of institutionalizing such certificates and accessing the data they contain, the WHO and its masters envision compelling the universal adoption of digital health IDs. Americans have already experienced how such “vaccine passports” can be used to enforce “jab” mandates and otherwise control individuals’ movements, activities and access to food, employment, education, finances, places of worship, etc. This must NOT be allowed to occur.
Given the WHO’s appalling record, it is outrageous that the Biden administration is working to give the WHO and its Director-General more power over sovereign nations, including the United States. Yet, U.S. government officials are actively negotiating amendments to existing International Health Regulations and a new treaty governing future pandemics.
The Biden administration has no intention of submitting these agreements for the advice and consent of the Senate. Moreover, the Senate has voted to NOT review them.
Based on the appalling behavior of the WHO during the COVID-19 pandemic – including its lies about the origin, nature and appropriate approach to contending with it, giving this organization more authority is completely unacceptable.
That is especially so in light of the extraordinary costs that were thus imposed on our people and country. These include: the loss of over a million Americans, many of them needlessly; terrible economic damage and society; and the curtailment of our fundamental freedoms.
We believe that our sovereignty, constitutional Republic and personal freedoms must be protected from such a supra-national threat. Therefore, the first mission of the Sovereignty Coalition is to ensure that the United States no longer underwrites, participates in or is subject to the World Health Organization and to seek, in the WHO’s stead, to create well-defined and limited arrangements for voluntarily collaborating multilaterally in the event of transnational pandemics.
We must not allow unaccountable international bureaucrats ever to inflict such harm again, something they are actively preparing to do by imposing universal digital health IDs to surveil, monitor and enforce compliance with WHO mandates.
The only way to ensure that we are spared such fates is for the United States to withdraw from the World Health Organization.
