As the world emerged from the lockdowns imposed during 2020-21, it became obvious there were issues with the supply chain that could dramatically impact the United States. Unfortunately, that weakness could become a weapon in the hands of a country that seeks to become the globe’s number one superpower, which perfectly describes the intentions of the People’s Republic of Communist China (PRC/Communist).
If this was just related to what’s found in a child’s toy box or the electronics in the television that hangs on one’s wall, it would just be an inconvenience until manufacturers in America could pick up the slack. However, since the topic at hand is what is in everyone’s medicine cabinets and on the shelves of the local pharmacy, it could rapidly become a national emergency with no quick fix.
Looming Crisis
Former President Donald Trump — now under indictment by the Soros-linked New York County (Manhattan) District Attorney Alvin Bragg — tried to warn America about two threats posed by the PRC, the widely used social media app TikTok and the Communist country’s influence over important drugs used here. The results from establishment politicians in Washington, DC, are polar opposite and probably shouldn’t surprise anyone who pays attention to how they work.
The Trump administration also took aim at just how many of the ingredients used in American pharmaceuticals are produced in Communist China. Former Lieutenant Governor of New York Betsy McCaughey pointed out in an op-ed that Democrats occasionally talk the talk but refuse to walk the walk.
Senator Gary Peters (D-MI) issued a press release about a report in 2019 where he noted the “national security risk” inherent in having “more than 80% of active pharmaceutical ingredients for prescription drugs” imported from Communist China and India. He currently chairs the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, which just released its findings on the subject on March 22, which, as McCaughey put it, shows that “the federal government is doing next to nothing” about the problem.
McCaughey also rips President Brain-Dead Biden for overlooking the need to secure a safe supply line of medicines for the United States military while having them focus on “pronoun lessons, sex change surgery for transgender personnel, and climate change.” Biden also proclaimed to Air Force personnel that the biggest threat facing America is global warming and vowed to spend billions of dollars to make all of the Armed Forces vehicles run on electricity while only allocating $60 million to encourage drugmakers to return to America.
