A person has been detained on suspicion of driving a U-Haul truck through the White House’s perimeter barricades and making threats to murder or injure the president, vice president, or members of the presidential family.
On Monday evening, a horrifying event occurred, and there is now a video of it available online. CNN reported that the authorities discovered a Nazi flag in the suspect’s vehicle.
“A preliminary investigation revealed the driver – who has not been publicly identified – may have intentionally struck the barrier, the Secret Service later said. While authorities have not provided specific details on the alleged threat, the US Park Police said the man faces the charge of threatening to kill, kidnap or inflict harm on a President, vice president, or family member,” CNN reported.
“The driver also was also arrested on charges of assault with a dangerous weapon, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, destruction of federal property, and trespassing, according to the Park Police. After the crash, the truck was searched by bomb technicians, and no explosives or incendiary devices were found, a law enforcement source familiar with the investigation told CNN,” the outlet added.
“What appears to be a Nazi flag was just pulled from the cab of a U-Haul truck that rammed the fence at Lafayette Square in front of the White House,” Reuters reporter Nathan Howard said on Twitter.

Recently, President Biden returned from Japan, where he attended the G7 Summit and where some began to be concerned for his health.
“A confused-looking President Biden had to be gently guided by Japanese leader Fumio Kishida on Friday — before tripping and almost falling down some stairs,” the New York Post reported.
“The oldest-ever US president looked confused as first lady Jill Biden led him by the hand to meet his Japanese counterpart and his wife for a photo op in Hiroshima ahead of the Group of Seven summit there,” the report added. “After shaking Kishida’s hand, Biden, 80, turned his attention to the prime minister’s 58-year-old wife, Fumio Kishida — bizarrely bending over with clenched fists, as if in a boxer’s pose, before also shaking her hand.”
Kishida, 65, then conducted the dignitaries to their respective locations for a photo opportunity. Biden appeared uncertain as to where he should stand, and Kishida appeared to gently direct him. Biden shifted slowly and peered at the ground to determine where he should stand, according to the video.

First lady Jill Biden quipped, “We’ll figure it out,” as her husband fumbled around, unsure of where he was supposed to stand.
Regarding the incident involving the steps, “Footage showed him arriving late for a tour of the Itsukushima Shrine, with the other world leaders already starting their tour as Biden slowly emerged from his limo,” according to The Post. “After walking slowly toward the others, he stared intently at a set of just eight steps — but still tripped, luckily catching his footing before falling.”
Biden’s physical and mental health continues to be a source of debate and concern among voters and his Republican detractors as he approaches 2024.
Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas), a former White House physician under Presidents Obama and Trump, has been Biden’s harshest critic regarding his alleged decline in mental health.
In a March interview with Fox News, Jackson discussed a malignant tumor that had been removed from Biden and stated that more than the lesion itself had to be removed.
“He’s what needs to be removed, not the lesion they found. But this is just another effort from his physician and from his medical team to distract him. They’re going to talk about this. They gave us a bunch of useless information about his cholesterol and stuff that no one cares about,” the former White House doctor said.
