ISLAMABAD, January 30: Passionate Pakistani bloggers have launched a campaign to help rebuild Taliban-bombed schools in the scenic Swat Valley.

The Human Development Foundation (HDF), a group of expats in Pakistan, is raising money online to help rebuild schools.

The $2,000 group goal has so far raised $655 through their blog.

“Let’s all make sure schools are never destroyed,” columnist Adil Najam wrote, inviting bloggers to donate to the cause.

“If it’s not HDF, please help out any other groups you know better that are doing good work, especially in education. But please do your best for the education of Pakistan’s young generation and for our future,” the blog post wrote.

Bloggers hailed HDF’s decision.

“There is no greater cause in the world than the education of children,” writes Tariq Khan, a regular contributor to the blog.
