Dave Bell Obituary

David W. Bell passed away on Friday, February 6, 2015, at Albany Medical Centre. He was a devoted husband, father, and public worker. Age-wise, he was 67. Everyone who knew and loved him mourns the loss of his parents, Albert and Florence Bell, who died before he was born. David led a dedicated and altruistic life. He spent 20 years working for the City of Albany’s Department of General Services (DGS), and throughout that time he left his mark on the community he called home. David was not only a successful businessman but also a loving husband and father.

He created a secure and devoted home for his family with his wife Chris Austin Bell. With the exception of his biological son David Schrimsher and his stepsons Joseph Ferrandino and Teresa Bell, David loved both his biological and stepchildren equally. His family was first in his life, therefore he treasured every moment he could spend with them. David’s siblings, Manuel, Ronald, Shirley, Sandra, and Lois, will also carry on his heritage. Their shared experiences and unbreakable links demonstrated the strength of family bonding. David’s descendants will carry on his love and wisdom. Being a grandfather and great-grandfather was something he took great delight in.
