NY Times: Biden ‘Privately’ Ordered AG Garland to ‘Take Decisive Action’ against Trump over Jan 6

Democrat President Joe Biden has been “privately” giving orders to his weaponized Department of Justice (DOJ) to take out his political rivals, according to a report from the New York Times. The NY Times reported that Biden held meetings behind closed doors where he told advisors to push for President Donald Trump to be prosecuted for Jan. 6.

According to the Times, Biden “privately told his close circle of advisers” that Trump “posed a threat to democracy and should be prosecuted for his role in the events of Jan 6.”

“He also told confidants that he wanted Attorney General Merrick B. Garland to stop acting like a ponderous judge and to take decisive action,” the Times reported.

The report from the NYT was published in April but has received renewed attention in light of the DOJ’s recent charges against Trump, the lead candidate in the 2024 presidential election.

“Biden ‘privately’ scolded Garland for not moving aggressively enough to prosecute Trump for Jan 6,” Michael Tracey posted on Twitter alongside a screenshot of the NYT article.

“These ‘private’ comments then made their way into the NYT, after which Garland moved more aggressively to prosecute Trump.

“They’re both loving fathers though, so I’m sure it’s fine.”

As Slay News reported earlier, many have alleged that the charges against Trump from the weaponized DOJ are likely a distraction from the mounting allegations against Biden and his family.

House Conference Chair Elise Stefanik (R-NY) has warned the American people that the latest indictment against President Donald Trump from the weaponized Department of Justice (DOJ) is a distraction from “one of the greatest political corruption scandals in history.”

Rep. Stefanik, the third most powerful House Republican, slammed the third indictment of Trump from Special Counsel Jack Smith.

Stefanik issued a fiery statement to blast the weaponized DOJ’s double standard of “justice,” saying:

Today’s sham indictment of Donald Trump is yet another desperate attempt to distract attention away from the mounting evidence of Joe Biden’s direct involvement in his family’s illegal influence peddling scheme – one of the greatest political corruption scandals in history.

“Less than 24 hours ago, Congress heard testimony from Hunter Biden’s longtime business partner that Joe Biden joined Hunter’s business calls over 20 times,” Stefanik added.

“This directly contradicts Biden’s lie that he never discussed business with his son.”
