“For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”
Matthew 24:27, 29-31, 37-39
Well, who are you, and how would you respond? You have a profound understanding of yourself, which should allow you to respond to this question with confidence.
Imagine living in the time of Noah, observing him constructing an immense boat year after year, stating that he was following God’s instructions. Throughout the lengthy construction process, Noah would earnestly advise his neighbors to reconcile with God, stating that a day would come when they, too, should board the ship to escape the impending calamity. What would be your thoughts as you watched this process play out?
Would you dismiss his actions as those of someone who had lost their sanity? Or, upon hearing his words, would you find yourself kneeling, earnestly seeking confirmation from God about the truth behind these proclamations?
As the story unfolds, when the rains started, people quickly had a change of heart, and began pounding upon the doors of the ark. “We now believe you Noah, please let us in,” they shouted. They could see that his words were true, and that the world was about to be flooded, just as Noah had preached to them. However, It was too late for everyone outside. The ark had been sealed, and was impossible for anyone to gain entrance to be saved.
Again, how would you have acted back in that day? I pose this question to you because your response holds significance for what awaits you in the coming years. Our Savior, Jesus Christ, is on the verge of returning to Earth, fulfilling a prophecy that has spanned nearly 6,000 years.
According to the narrative, the written account foretells that in the last days, wickedness will reach such depths on Earth that divine intervention becomes necessary. God will send Jesus Christ to engage in a decisive physical event known as the “Battle of Armageddon”, aimed at defeating Satan and his followers. We are currently in this evil period of time that has been written about. Take a look around you. Evil is taking over our schools, government, entertainment, and entire world.
God will defeat evil in a spectacular fashion. After which, the world and its inhabitants will undergo a transformation, moving into an era where those who have embraced Him will experience eternal harmony, peace, and happiness in His presence.
Gone will be the days of corrupt political figures driven by malevolence, divisive hate groups, perpetrators of sex trafficking, the scourge of drugs and addictions, influential individuals with self-serving agendas, the specter of communism, autocratic rulers, malicious neighbors, and criminal elements. None of these people will be with us anymore. Can you imagine such a place?
We are on the brink of living in an environment that numerous individuals have yearned for and prayed to witness—a tranquil world brimming with individuals who mirror our own qualities: serenity, love, and compassion.
“Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth”
Matthew 5:5
So, if this new world will not include any evil people, where will they all go?
It only makes sense that if all of the peaceful people are together, so would all of the hateful evil people be together as well. You can call that place Hell, or whatever else you would like, but the concept is the same. All people will be divided into places consisting of those who share similar values. Good with the good, and Bad with the Bad.
I have had discussions with “sinful” people who say that this is exactly where they would want to go. They are “partiers”, and want to be with other “partiers”. Ok, let’s examine that way of thinking, because perhaps you have not thought this completely through.
Regardless of where we will be spending eternity, there will be no such thing as alcohol or drugs. Ever think of that? So, consider your parting friends in an environment without alcohol or drugs which would be necessary to get the “party” that you are seeking.
There is no “party” as this person might be thinking that there would be. No “buzz” to escape the reality of what is happening around you, just an environment filled with hateful, mean-spirited people who think only of themselves. Misery, frustration, intolerance, hopelessness, loneliness and vengefulness nonstop would be your so-called party. Is this really an environment where you want spend eternity?
So, just like the call from Noah to the people around him, many of us are calling YOU to inform you of a different type of flood that is coming. Jesus Christ is coming back to destroy evil, and start something glorious: A peaceful new world.
Will you choose to be like the people of Noah and turn away from the truth and be destroyed, or will you choose to get on your knees and ask your Heavenly Father if what I say is true?
“For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.”
Matthew 16:27
I can tell you this, because I have personally experienced the same thing, as countless others have as well.
When you get on your knees and ask if this is true, you will receive an answer that following God is the way that you want to spend your eternity. You will feel a peaceful comfort, and a warm feeling which is how God communicates with us. It will feel RIGHT to you deep inside, a sort of conformation.
The next steps are simple, and will also bring you peace here on the earth as well.
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30
(Yoking describes, as this picture indicates, being closely joined together with an apparatus that allows the two to pull together as one. When one cow tires, the extra needed strength can be applied by the other cow to complete the task. There is also a synergetic value as a result of yoking. 1+1 normally would =2, but through the synergetic value of yoking 1=1 would =3.)
*In your next prayer, tell God that you want Him to be a part of your life. Yoke up to Him.
*Repent of the sins that you have committed. (We have ALL sinned, and you should know that. None of us are perfect).
*Ask for His forgiveness.
*Learn about the atonement of Jesus Christ and how that can make you clean again.
*Change your sinful ways.
*Follow the promptings that God will give you, as He is excited to change the person you are into someone that you can’t even imagine.
*Pray often, even if it’s a silent prayer in your heart.
You will see that by doing these things, you will not fear the future. You will know that God has an upcoming plan that has been foretold, just like the flood in Noah’s day.
You will also feel a warming comfort in knowing that you will be welcomed aboard the ark before it is sealed. God will watch over you, and even when we die, we will be welcomed into His presence into a world filled with awesome neighbors, friends, and people who are filled with love and kindness. A perfect place to call home… FOREVER.
This is the way to prepare for the upcoming return of our Savior, Jesus Christ. You will not fear, nor need to know the day that He is coming. He will bless you with all that is necessary to prepare for this event if you follow His promptings.
