His wife urged him to take a seat before dialing 911. The Ankeny Paramedics then attended to Mikelson. They brought me to Mercy Hospital, where it was determined that I had just suffered a stroke. I underwent a very recent neurological operation that removes the blood clot from the artery, as well as TPA (tissue plasminogen activator), which dissolves the blood clot.
