Liz Cheney lit her political career on fire in order to take down Donald Trump. She paid a political price but her career ambitions have reared their ugly head again. And Liz Cheney has just announced something that left Americans to shake in fear for the country’s future. Back in the Bush era most Americans would have been stunned if anyone suggested Dick Cheney’s daughter Liz would become a darling of the Left and make frequent appearances on MSNBC.
But that’s what happened after former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi broke tradition and blocked the Republicans from appointing their own members to the January 6th Select Committee.
Instead of appointing Republicans that would ask questions Pelosi didn’t like, she picked Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, two warmongers that were itching for a reason to toss Trump overboard.
Kinzinger’s vendetta against Trump bought him no favors with Illinois Democrats, who gerrymandered his district out of existence.
But CNN scooped him up to add to their sinking network.
Cheney ain’t returning to Wyoming
As for Cheney, she got blown out in the Wyoming Republican Primary.
She comically floated the idea of running for president, but for now, Cheney will be a professor of politics at the University of Virginia.
Cheney said in a press release, “Preserving our constitutional republic is the most important work of our time, and our nation’s young people will play a crucial role in this effort…I look forward to working with students and colleagues at the center to advance the important work they and others at the University of Virginia are doing to improve the health of democracy here and around the world. I hope my work with the Center for Politics and the broader community at the University of Virginia will contribute to finding lasting solutions that not only preserve, but strengthen our democracy.”
“Democracy” means something different to Swamp creatures like Cheney.
Democracy is achieved when they win, and imperiled when they lose.
So when Trump won a fair election, he was a “threat to Democracy.”
The “threat to Democracy” mysteriously occurs when the Democrats and the neocons don’t get their way.
UVA President Jim Ryan said, “Our students will have an incredible opportunity to learn from Liz Cheney, who has fiercely defended democracy as part of a distinguished career…I’m delighted that she has chosen the University of Virginia and the Center for Politics as a next step, and I very much look forward to working with her.”
Cheney getting a plum gig at UVA illustrates how America’s foreign policy has gone so haywire.
Warmongers like Cheney are training the next generation of leaders.
