Kota Tinggi Accident
The reports have suggested that the college students were traveling on the Senai-Desaru Expressway on Saturday afternoon when their car collided with other two cars near Kota Tinggi. The district police of Kota Tinggi said the three people who died in the crash were the driver of the car, and two people sitting in the passenger seat of the Perodua Bezza. Kota Tinggi district police chief Hussin Zamora also announced the names of the three college students who died in the Kota Tinggi accident. The three college boys who died were Iqbal Faiz Mat Sah, Nurul Afrahrina Sazli, and Nurina Izzatie Kamarul Azman. Nurul and Nurina, both were 19 years old while Faiz was 20 years old. One other person was left injured in the crash. The person who survived this trauma and sustained injuries is identified as Izznur Harith, 19 years old. The police chief said the collision occurred when the four were traveling in a Perodua Bezza from Desaru to Senai and collided with two other vehicles while attempting to overtake another vehicle. Izawani Abd Hamid who is Bandar Penawar fire and rescue station operations commander said three women and another man suffered minor injuries in the crash. A person who is 50 years old, whose car was also involved in the crash, did not sustain any injury. The three injured women and another man were in an MPV at the time of the accident.
