British-born Dr Rashid Buttar, US based, had insisted that the pandemic was politically motivated and planned. He died at the age of 57 days after claiming that he had been given a ‘poison’ containing ‘200 times of what was in the vaccine’.
A conspiracy theorist doctor has died just days after he claimed he was poisoned.
Dr Rashid Buttar died in what is claimed to be mysterious circumstances after insisting during a controversial interview about his Covid pandemic disinformation that he had been poisoned with 200 times of “what was in the vaccine”.
The British-born doctor, who was part of a group nicknamed the ‘Disinformation dozen’, died suddenly on Saturday, May 20 at the age of 57. Reports say that he was an anti-vaxxer who had become a cult figure among those opposed to the vaccine during the pandemic.
He had previously alleged on a CNN program that challenged his conspiracy theories that the Covid pandemic was “planned” and “politically motivated”
His theories were so well-known that the Centre for Countering Digital Hate named him one of the top 12 people responsible for producing around 65% of all anti-vaccine content between 2020 and 2023, including the claim that “everyone who has had the vaccine would be dead by 2025.”
He died days after claiming that he had been given a “poison” containing “200 times of what was in the vaccine”. The Daily Star reports that the cause of death has not been made public, nor has the reason why he recently spent time in intensive care.
Speaking to Laura-Lynn Tyler Thompson on her internet channel lauralynn.tv earlier this month, Dr Buttar said: “I went through a very difficult personal health challenge a few months ago. I had been poisoned with 200 times the amount of what was in the vaccinations.
“I’ve said publicly that you would have to shoot me in the head with lead – i.e. a bullet – because I’m never going to take the vaccine. So I believe I was poisoned, and it was right after that CNN interview.”
The CNN interview he refers to took place in 2022, in which he made even more bold claims about the pandemic.
He likened US medical expert Anthony Fauci to Adolf Hitler, and said that “nobody has died from the virus”.
He ranted: “We see thousands of people dying. The Delta variant (of Covid) is all vaccine injury.
“I don’t want to be part of this mass genocide that I see happening.”
At that point, interviewer Drew Griffin called Butter “crazy”. Even before the pandemic, he had been punished by local US medical boards for his treatment of autism and cancer patients. That had included injecting one of the latter with hydrogen peroxide, a bleaching agent normally used as an antiseptic.
