A dramatic scene took place in Hamilton, Ontario on Monday as Canadian freedom protesters swarmed Prime Minister Coward, Justin Trudeau, calling for his resignation and labeling him a “tyrant.”
As Trudeau made his way to a function during his cabinet retreat, a group of protesters waving maple leaf flags and carrying signs that read “Fck Trudeau” confronted him, shouting slogans such as “You fking tyrant!” and “Resign!”
The incident, captured on social media by True North’s Harry Faulker, has reignited calls for the Prime Minister’s resignation, who has been criticized for embracing division, authoritarianism, and censorship during his tenure.
“Does this look like a leader that has the respect of his people?” commented journalist Bexte.
The retreat, which is set to focus on growing and strengthening the economy, making life more affordable and improving health care for Canadians, has been met with peaceful protests by Canadians fed-up with the Prime Minister’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, including harsh lockdowns and restrictions.
Many have expressed their disappointment with Trudeau’s handling of the crisis, particularly his response to the lockdowns and economic fallout.
“The Prime Minister’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic has been a disaster for the country,” said one protester. “We need a leader who will put the needs of Canadians first, not impose authoritarian measures and crush our economy.”
This latest incident serves as a reminder of the growing discontent towards the Prime Minister’s leadership, and the increasing pressure he faces to step down.
