Biden Given ‘Bottomless Pinocchio’ By Liberal Washington Post Fact Checker

The fact-checker of the Washington Post just awarded President Brain-Dead Biden the “Bottomless Pinocchio.”  Glenn Kessler handed out the award in a piece he published on Friday called Biden’s misleading deficit claim earns him a Bottomless Pinocchio.

Here, Kessler took issue with a claim that Biden made on Tuesday in the video announcing his reelection campaign. Biden said:

As a matter of fact, my first two years in office I’ve lowered the deficit by a record $1.7 trillion. Lowered the deficit — the debt.

It’s far from the first time that Biden has made the claim. In fact, Kessler says that, by his count, Biden has made the claim at least 30 times since June. So, what’s the problem?

It’s just not true.

In Kessler’s piece, he explains why it is that Biden’s claim that he is responsible for lowering the deficit by $1.7 trillion is false.

Kessler writes:

The Congressional Budget Office, the official scorekeeper, in February 2021 already estimated the budget deficit would fall dramatically in fiscal 2021 and 2022 because emergency pandemic spending would lapse. The combined 2021 and 2022 budget deficits were projected by the CBO in 2021 to be $3.31 trillion. In November, the CBO said the combined deficits were in fact $4.15 trillion.

That change, according to Kessler, is the result of “additional pandemic relief funds and other new policies” enacted by Biden that resulted in what Kessler referred to as “a more modest decline in the deficit.”

Kessler then goes on to explain how Biden, in two years, “increased the national debt about $850 billion more than originally projected.” And, how, based on the policy proposals put forth by Biden, this trend is only going to continue.

So, contrary to what Biden claims, he has actually made the situation worse than it otherwise would be.

It’s not the first time

This was enough to earn Biden a “Bottomless Pinocchio.”

According to Kessler, the “Bottomless Pinocchio” is awarded “to account for false or misleading statements repeated so often that they became a form of propaganda.”

Such a statement, according to Kessler would have to have “earned a Three or Four Pinocchios rating and been repeated at least 20 times” to achieve “Bottomless Pinocchio.”

Biden managed to pull that off here. It’s not the first time that he has done so. Biden also earned a “Bottomless Pinocchio” in November for the false claim that he has “traveled 17,000 miles with” Chinese President Xi Jinping.

This is all on top of the countless other lies that Biden routinely tells. This has put the White House in the position of always having to cover for Bidne’s lies. It would be an understatement to say that White House Press Secretary Jean-Pierre has been unsuccessful in doing so. But, then again, it is an uphill battle for Jean-Pierre.
