The world of law is currently mourning the demise of a judge. The reports state that the late judge is identified as Lisa Thornton and her colleagues are currently grieving her demise. There are numerous people who are paying tribute to her online and looking for information about her sudden departure. There are many reports stating that her official obituary is out and people want to know about it so that they get to know what happened to her and when her funeral has been organized. How Did Judge Lisa Thornton Die?
We know that we can’t lessen their pain but at least our words can comfort them. Now speaking about the departure of the judge. Late Lisa Thornton was the judge of Monmouth County Superior Court. She was a trailblazing figure in the court system of New Jersey. However, sadly she is no more between us and left the world at the age of 59. She had a great career and her notable contribution and achievements have left an indelible mark on the legal profession in the state. In the year 2008, she created history after becoming the 1st Black woman assignment judge in the court system of New Jersey.
This wonderful hiring was done by ex-Governor Jon Corzine who recognized the exceptional legal expertise of Judge Thornton and her commitment to justice made her different from everyone. Throughout her tenure as assignment judge, she presided over the Civil, Family, and Criminal Divisions in Monmouth County. Her big range of responsibilities permitted her to make important contributions to the resolution of the wide range of legal matters that impacts the lives of multiple people and families in the community. The dedication of the late judge to provide justice was quite evident in her community. Her fair and impartial approach to each case that came prior to her.
However, her community is currently mourning her demise and remembering her for the contribution she paid to society. Apart from being a top judge, she was also an inspirational personality for aspiring Black women attorneys and judges in New Jersey. Her dedication to society shows that if you decide to do something and put in all the effort nobody can stop you. Although she is not between us but her work will always remain alive in our hearts. According to the reports the cause of her demise is not identified but reports state that her death is quite sudden as at the time of her death she was traveling between New Jersey and Florida.
