Colbert cited a recent study that found gas stoves can release toxic chemicals and cause respiratory problems.
Colbert said, “OK, that’s not very good.” But, he countered, saying, “But gas stoves can also be used to pan-seared scallops.”
He continued, “As such, the government is considering banning gasoline stoves.” “F– you! You will be in hell. You can get my gas range if you take it from my hot, sizzling Hams!”
Colbert stated that the government does not intend to alter the rules because of (his) anger and backlash, but mocked the notion of electric stoves being safer.

Colbert laughed and said, “Kids! I don’t want to inhale particulate matter so we bought something that can go from room temperature up to the surface of sunlight with nothing in between.
