The former first lady had not communicated publicly since the maelstrom of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s prosecution of her husband first became unavoidable.
Melania was “notably” absent from her husband’s post-arraignment speech at their Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida last week, the New York Post reported.
“I have a great family and they’ve done a fantastic job and we appreciate it very much. They’ve gone through a lot,” the 76-year-old former president said at the time.
