GOP Senator Calls On FBI To Address Child Migrant Trafficking Crisis

U.S. Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) has just called upon the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to launch an investigation into the 85,000 migrant children who have disappeared under the watch of President Brain-Dead Biden. Hawley made the call in a letter that he sent to FBI Director Shady Christopher Wray on Thursday, April 27.

The problem

Hawley, in the letter, calls Wray’s attention to a number of recent reports regarding the disappearance of these migrant children.

Hawley starts with the fact that, since the start of Biden’s presidency, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has witnessed 345,000 migrant children come across the U.S.-Mexico border unaccompanied.

Then, Hawley transitions to the fact that many of these children have gone missing. Hawley points out that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has even admitted that it has lost touch with some 85,000 of these migrant children.

Then, Hawley points to other reports, from the likes of the New York Times, which have found that the likelihood is that many of the migrant children have become the victims of child labor and child smuggling operations.

The cause
Next, Hawley places the blame for this situation squarely on the should of Biden and Biden’s administration.

Hawley says, in unambiguous language, “the Biden administration is morally responsible” for the “fate” of these lost migrant children. And, Hawley explains why.

Hawley writes:

The President lifted Title 42 restrictions on unaccompanied children in early 2021. Reporting reveals that HHS loosened vetting processes for sponsors and retaliated against whistleblowers who raised these concerns.

One HHS whistleblower, for example, recently detailed how the federal government has been acting as a “middleman” for a “multi-billion-dollar child trafficking operation.”

What to do about it?

Now, Hawley is calling upon Wray and the disgraced FBI to address the problem. In fact, Hawley wants Wray to make it a “leading FBI priority.”

“The Corrupt FBI must mount a full-scale effort to locate these missing children and to bring to justice the criminals who are holding them in modern-day slavery,” Hawley writes. The Senator adds, “the disgraced FBI must also investigate HHS and the Department of Homeland Security for their role in facilitating the exploitation of these children, in violation of the law.”

Hawley specifically alleges that the “pervasive maltreatment of migrant children plainly violates both the Fair Labor Standards Act.”

It remains to be seen whether the disgraced FBI will address the issue. At the time of this writing, Wray has not responded to Hawley’s letter.
