A family is grieving the loss of their daughter who was tragically killed while tubing on a South Dakota lake. According to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred on Lake Madison on Monday afternoon, some 30 miles west of the Minnesota state line. Deputies were informed by witnesses that a jet ski and a small girl on an inner tube collided. The young lady was recognised as eighth-grader Emily Gorman from Harrisburg. She was injured to death. According to Emily Gorman’s mother Stacy Gorman, those who knew her best called her Emmy. She enjoyed volleyball, root beer, her family’s pugs, and quesadillas.
