She’s Been Pregnant Every Year She’s Been Married, And She Just Got News That…

Courtney Rogers always dreamed of having a large family. Little did anyone know that she would turn her role as a mother into an Olympic sport. At 36 years old, the New Mexico mom and her loving husband are raising eleven children on their large property in Santa Fe. They got married in 2008 and have since welcomed a new child into their family every year, with no plans of slowing down.

Rogers shares snapshots of her busy life on Instagram, using social media to give people a glimpse of what it’s like raising so many children while dealing with the challenges of being pregnant year after year.

She recently opened up about her family life on Love What Matters, sharing that both she and her husband come from large families and discussed having children before they were married. Her husband even suggested having ten kids, inspired by his own mother who had ten children. Although Rogers initially scoffed at the idea, her oldest child was born just before her 26th birthday.

In her Love What Matters post, she wrote:

“We get asked at times whether or not we plan on having more children. The honest truth? I really don’t know. Due to complete placenta previa and a cord issue during my twin pregnancy, I’ve already had to have two c-sections. Thankfully, I found a great team of midwives at our university’s hospital, and I’ve had the opportunity to VBAC since then. I’m sure by now I’m one of their regulars, and folks at the ultrasound office even recognize me and my chart. Some people have expressed concern about my health, but the rest of my pregnancies have been complication-free and full term. However, I know anything can happen in the future, and if other complications come our way, we’ll wisely consider our family planning options.”

While Rogers has always played with the idea of having as many children as possible, she admitted that she doesn’t know how many more children she will be able to have. Due to complications during her twin pregnancy, she’s already had to have two c-sections but has been able to have vaginal births since then with the help of a great team of midwives at a university hospital. Despite concerns about her health, her pregnancies have been complication-free and full-term. However, she’s aware that anything can happen in the future and she’ll wisely consider her family planning options.

Despite the uncertainty, Rogers recently shared with the Sun that she hopes to have even more children. “We want to have 12 children, a family of 14 even. The kids want us to be like the film Cheaper by the Dozen, where the parents compromise their careers to raise 12 children.”

Rogers and her husband met at a church camp through mutual friends, but they spent the beginning of their relationship apart as she lived in North Carolina while he lived in Georgia. Both devout Christians, they knew their faith in God and love for one another would bring them together, which it did the following year when they got married and Rogers became pregnant with her first child.

The Rogers family currently consists of six boys and five girls, ranging in age from 11 to six months old. Courtney’s love for motherhood and her family shines through her social media posts, showing the joy and fulfillment she finds in raising her children.
