US Government Suspends Funding for Wuhan Lab Over Safety Concerns

Democrat President Joe Biden’s administration has finally suspended funding for the Wuhan Institute of Virology over concerns about the dangerous research conducted at the Chinese lab. The move comes after a review found the Chinese research institute “is not compliant with federal regulations and is not presently responsible.”

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) told the notorious lab of the suspension on Monday.

HHS said the lab hasn’t been compliant with safety guidelines.

“This action aims to ensure that WIV does not receive another dollar of federal funding,” an HHS spokesperson said in a statement.

“The move was undertaken due to WIV’s failure to provide documentation on WIV’s research requested by NIH related to concerns that WIV violated NIH’s biosafety protocols.”

According to Bloomberg:

“The lab hasn’t received money from the National Institutes of Health since July 2020.

“Penalizing the lab is the most drastic action the US has taken so far over its failure to share documentation on biosafety practices amid ongoing investigations into Covid-19’s origins.

“The institute has become a flashpoint in discussions of how the pandemic […] started, with some, including FBI Director Christopher Wray, suspecting it could have originated at the facility.

“…In 2014, the NIH awarded a grant to EcoHealth Alliance, a US-based organization focused on preventing infectious diseases, for ‘understanding the risk of bat coronavirus emergence.’

“The Wuhan Institute of Virology received a sub-award of that grant.”

The news comes as evidence continues to emerge exposing the role several top U.S. officials have played in the dangerous gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab.

As Slay News reported, top scientists testified last week that they helped Dr. Anthony Fauci cover up his role in Covid leaking from the Chinese lab, according to congressional investigators.

The scientists told the Republican-led Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic that they help cover for Fauci due to “political” pressure.

The subcommittee has found that Fauci, with the help of then-National Institutes of Health Director Francis Collins and a cadre of willing virologists, “employed fatally flawed science” to “avoid blaming China for the COVID-19 pandemic.”
