A native Chicagoan, Keeler was a three-star recruit in the 2021 class and Rivals ranked him as the No. 13 prospect in the state of Illinois, and the No. 33 strongside defensive end.
He spent just one college football season with Rutgers, then made the transition to UNLV for the 2022 campaign, participating in seven games and notching eight tackles, including a sack against Air Force on October 15.
Meanwhile, UNLV Athletics Director Erick Harper shared profound sadness and sympathy for the family of the athlete: “The UNLV family is in mourning today over the sudden loss of one of our own.
Our hearts go out to all of Ryan’s family and friends along with his Rebel teammates.”
